Sometimes good things aren't meant to be.

For about 6 months now, one lowkey spot here in Tuscaloosa has been dishing out Chinese food cheaper than dirt. China Master opened up in early fall in attitude to take on Swen's on The Strip, which is a Chinese drunk staple.

Personally, I've been to China Masters only 6 or 7 times since the inception of the restaurant, but I had about everything on the 10-choice board menu from General Tso's Chicken to their stellar spicy beef and broc.

Unfortunately, I was walking back from Publix on The Strip yesterday and saw two things outside China Master. I saw an empty dark restaurant and signs saying "For Rent" out front, it broke my heart.

The 'rona has seriously destroyed any chance for new bars or restaurants to make it through the end of the year.

RIP China Master, you were my late night drunk Chinese food Savior/Jesus/Buddha. You will be sorely missed.
