Casey Kasem Dies – Lengendary Radio Personality is Dead at 82
On this Father's Day, June 15th of 2014, the world says goodbye to a radio and entertainment icon. Casey Kasem passed away at a California hospital.
According to reports, the passing comes after complications from Lewy Body Dementia, a degenerative condition similar to Parkinson's Disease.
"Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars," would say Casey Kasem at the end of American Top 40 countdown. "Zoinks," is the Casey Kasem catch phrase in his voice work for Shaggy in the animated series, "Scooby-Doo." We will forever remember these things.
Casey's daughter, Kerri Kasem confirmed the news in a Tweet:

This past Friday, I shared archived video of the "King of Countdowns," in a weekly Flashback Friday featured. Knowing, the legend's days were coming to an end.
