Alabama wide receiver Xavier Williams has entered the transfer portal according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports. Williams is not playing football in 2021 with the Crimson Tide after an undisclosed medical issue.

"Ziggy has some medical issues that's keeping him out," Saban said in August. "Without saying what... he's medically not going to play this year."

Williams, a former 4-star recruit out of Hollywood, FL., has appeared in 11 career games for the Crimson Tide while recording three receptions for a total of 24 yards. Each of his receptions came in Alabama's 2020 postseason run.

Additionally, Williams caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Mac Jones in the 2019 A-Day Game.

Williams was a part of Alabama's 2018 recruiting class and was in a class with fellow wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Slade Bolden. He was considered the No. 24 wide receiver and the No. 143 prospect in the 2018 class by the 247Sports Composite.

While Williams is currently in the transfer portal it is worth noting that he is able to return to the Crimson Tide football program should he so choose. Williams was recruited by most SEC schools and reportedly had 40 scholarship offers.
