The Alabama Crimson Tide is set to embark on a preseason European basketball tour on Aug. 5. The team will be gone for 11 days and will take on teams in Barcelona, Spain and in Paris, France.

On Saturday, the Crimson Tide put on an exhibition display for the fans to get warmed up for the trip and to infuse the fan base with excitement for the 2022-23 season.

Alabama fans have a lot to be excited about for the upcoming season after reeling in the No. 3 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. The incoming player generating the biggest buzz is freshman forward Brandon Miller.

Miller is a 5-star prospect out of Tennessee and was considered the 15th best player in the '22 class by 247Sports. In Saturday's scrimmage Miller put up 30 points with ease, making deep 3-pointers, finishing at the rim and even to some's surprise converting in the mid-range.

The 6-foot-9 forward played the majority of the minutes for Team Crimson on Saturday and showcased his impressive athleticism by handling two chase-down blocks and rebounding the ball with assertiveness.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats has overseen four NBA Draft picks so far in his tenure with the Tide. Guards Kira Lewis and Josh Primo both ended up as lottery picks in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Oats will certainly add to that tally in the spring of 2023 with Miller. He is undoubtedly the most pro-ready prospect the Crimson Tide have had during the Oats era.

The draftroom.com currently projects Miller at the No. 24 overall pick to the New York Knicks. Therookiewire.com projects the forward as the No. 18 overall pick to the Toronto Raptors. Bleacherreport considers him on the outside-looking-in of the one-and-done prospects.

Alabama is looking to have a bounce back basketball season in 2022-23 after being eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The talent and depth of the upcoming iteration of the Crimson Tide will far exceed last seasons, but Miller, last year's Mr. Basketball in the state of Tennessee,  will stand above the rest.
