Alabama Basketball Boasts 2022 Tennessee Mr. and Miss Basketball
The Alabama Crimson Tide men's and women's basketball program are in post season play but the future looks bright for both programs. Crimson Tide commits Brandon Miller and Karly Weathers earned Tennessee Mr. and Miss Basketball for their senior seasons of high school play.
Miller, a 5-star prospect is the first Mr. Basketball in Cane Ridge High School history. The 6-foot-9 wing player was eliminated in the Tennessee Class 4A quarterfinals after scoring 30 points and grabbing eight rebounds with four steals and three assists.
The McDonalds All-American is expected to come to Alabama and immediately contribute to the Tide's 2022-23 team as 247Sports ranks him as the No. 11 player in the 2022 class.
Weathers is a 5-foot-11 combo guard who led Loretto High School to its first state championship since 1958. She averaged 22.4 points per game and is a three-time Tennessee Class A First Teamer in basketball and in volleyball. Weathers was ranked No. 83 in the class by Junior All-Star Report and chose Alabama over offers from Indiana, Florida State, Georgia Tech and others.
Both Miller and Weathers were long time leaders of their respective schools and will come to the Capstone as the prized member of their respective recruiting classes.
