We Flip the Calendar and Welcome Back Football, Football Food

Welcome August, the month when the great sport of football makes a return! I especially like this first part of the month, my birthday is on the 1st and that first pre-season game happens right around there. It's almost like a birthday present, and a darn good one too!

Last night, I cooked chili. Ah, it was like an old friend coming to visit with the season's first pot of chili to celebrate the return of ‪‎football‬.

Take a look at this creation:

The game may have been pretty lame between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins with the star players sitting on the bench instead of risking injury. But, it was still football and it makes a great first step into the real deal only a few short weeks away.
