In every town in America there's always that one historical restaurant, bar, music venue or site. Luckily here in Tuscaloosa, we do not have a shortage of that at all. There's a lot of places here in town that come to mind, but one definitely place sticks out.

If you're looking for a drop-dead breakfast here in town, The Waysider should be the first place that comes to mind. If you're okay with an hour wait on Saturdays and even a 2-hour wait on Sunday, this place will not disappoint. Many famous faces have passed through that little restaurant on Greensboro Ave. Too many to count to be honest. It was Bear Bryant's favorite joint in town, he used to take recruits there to persuade them to come to Bama over a plate of Grill Pork Chops with Two Fried Eggs.

Whenever I go to The Waysider, I stuff my face with the Real Country Cured Ham. If you if ever wonder what Alabama taste like, its that dish with a piping hot cup of coffee with 2 creams and 1 sugar.

A place where you might run into an old neighbor or starting lineman at Alabama, this place is as ingrained into Tuscaloosa as the Black Warrior River. As I always say on the radio, 'go support a local business today' 'They need your help more than ever.'
