Potential for Flooding and Some Strong Storms for Tuscaloosa, Alabama
There is a risk for localized flooding for all of Central Alabama on Saturday, August 21, 2021. The National Weather Service, Birmingham, notes that the “heavy rainfall from thunderstorms may lead to localized flooding.” The flooding potential can occur from late morning through this evening.
In addition, there is a marginal risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening for the West and Central portions of Central Alabama. James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that the marginal risk is “due to the potential for strong winds. Temperatures will stay below average with highs mostly in the mid-80s.”
