I have had THE WORST morning. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present to you definitive proof that I should have never left the comfort of my bed this morning.

Here's some backstory: my husband has been working third shift at the plant where he is an engineer due to some sort of contractual thing I don't understand. After TWO WEEKS of pretty much being a single mom, he's finally (FINALLY!) returned to his normal schedule today. It's awesome, but I am still soooooooooo tired.

This morning, I hit snooze at 6:30, 6:40, and 6:50. I apparently disabled my alarm after the third angry swipe, which meant that I woke up at about 7:20. Great.

The first thing I remembered to do was to get a pair of shoes out of my car. I go to do that and slip on some wet leaves and just totally BUST IT in the front yard.

I clean up and go to get my daughter ready. She's in this interesting stage where she likes to pick out her own outfits, which would be cute if the end result were anything but her pitching a DEFCON ONE fit because I grabbed the wrong shirt with a kitten on it. I get her dressed and fed and attempt to get myself in line, too.

I didn't have time to wash my hair, but I did find time to do my makeup. I mean, I have to look presentable, right? I get that done, and the entire time my daughter is making this weird high-pitched squeal that she thinks is just hysterical but apparently is just migraine fuel.

We're like fifteen minutes behind schedule by the time we get in the car. Yesterday we received about two inches of rain, so our driveway's minor water retention issue had developed into a major problem. It was a quagmire of mud. I thought I could navigate accordingly, but LOL NO WAY NOT TODAY.

I got stuck in the mud. See?

Great day, people. Not to mention that I get to work and have like, just a stupid amount of problems here, too. I am still running late on everything; I am sore from falling in the yard, and my car looks like I just went mudding. I need help.
