My senior year in high school was pretty tough, lost a few family members, my girlfriend dumped me and I was stuck in a crossroad about what I was going to do for college.

Luckily, I had a great friend name Joe. Joe was this long haired, football playing, rocker dude with an amazing attitude on life. He always played early 2000's music, mostly rock. He introduced me to Counting Crows, and I was hooked.

One song that struck a chord was "Mr. Jones". The easy going chord progression and the lyrics of Adam Duritz was a true match made in heaven.
