Alright, so the 2012 college football bowl season kicks off this Saturday. Of the season's 35 bowls, these are the biggest matchups (in this dj's opinion.)

5. Capitol One Bowl: Georgia vs. Nebraska-Georgia made it all the way to the SEC Championship game this season, but missed out on a BCS bowl because only two teams can represent a conference (Alabama, Florida.) The Bulldogs will look to finish the season on a high note with a bowl win over the Cornhuskers. Jan. 1st

4. Rose Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Stanford-Stanford proved to be one of Bama's biggest allies this year by beating Oregon late in the season. Pac-12 Conference Champs Stanford will take on a Wisconsin team who just lost a head coach to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jan. 1st

3. Cotton Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma-The Crimson Tide had a perfect season this year with the exception on one blemish, a loss to Texas A&M. A&M proved to be key player in the SEC this year and are led by the first freshman to ever win a Heisman Trophy. They will take on traditional power Oklahoma. Jan. 4th

2. Fiesta Bowl: Oregon vs. Kansas State-At one point this season, many thought this could be the matchup for the National Championship, but both teams suffered defeats late in the season on the same weekend. This should be a great matchup. Jan. 3rd

1. Discover BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. Notre Dame-Two historic football powerhouses will meet in Miami for the BCS National Championship. Notre Dame will enter the game with an undefeated record while Bama will be bringing along only one loss and a SEC Championship. Jan. 7th
