If you're looking for a break from the blistering heat, we've got bad news for you: heat indices are expected to reach 109 again today and tomorrow.

Turn up the A.C. and double down on the sweet tea--this weekend, Alabama will be facing the hottest weather we've seen so far this year.

Dangerous heat levels can be expected around Tuscaloosa and West Alabama, as a Heat Advisory has been issued through 7pm on Tuesday(July 14, 2015).

West Alabama will feel the burn of another scorching heatwave, and the National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Heat Advisory in effect through 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Social media was buzzing late Tuesday afternoon with large hail photos from thunderstorms that swept through the area.

A heads up, the National Weather Service office in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10pm Tuesday (3/31). The watch area includes most of West Alabama.

Okay, it's the weekend and the local forecast is a wet one, with lots of clouds and scattered rain. I say, fine with me!  But, why?  You may be surprised.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 3 p.m. this afternoon; Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties are now included in this warning as sleet, ice, and freezing rain begin to affect Alabama.

Tomorrow will be a much different day than today, as it will be sharply colder. Rain is pushing through the area and the temps will be falling down to freezing, setting up the threat for icy travels on Thursday.
