Nasty, ugliness is all over Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Why is everyone so UGLY? Yes, I met the nastiest woman in Tuscaloosa. I know her name, BUT I probably shouldn't print it. I want to tell you badly, but I can tell you she’s an assistant manager on the late afternoon crew.

"WE WANT A POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIP" Those are the words of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, this morning on the Steve & DC Show on WFFN-FM (95.3 THE BEAR). The mayor also said "We're not going to back down."

I'm tired of the excuses. You can't go to ANY fast food places in Tuscaloosa or Northport, Alabama, and have it go smoothly. Do the folks who own these local businesses not care about what's happening?

The folks at Wallethub are the ones that did the work on this metric of places that are great for US single people. Some of the metrics involved? The highest share of single adults. Louisiana was #1 in that area. Most restaurants was another deciding factor. It sure seems like Tuscaloosa and Birmingham are doing just fine in this area to me. New restaurants are constantly popping up in West Alabama.

The United States Football League. A spring league designed to give football starved fans something to eat during the offseason. The entire league is moving here. That's right. Alabama. Hosting the entire season of games. The U.S.F.L. is significant for several things in the history of modern football in America. For example, the league signed three straight Heisman Trophy winners.

Did you know that Alabama, along with Georgia, are the top states for "Bigfoot" sightings. An Alabama newspaper, the Geneva Reaper, reportedly put a photo of "Bigfoot" on their front page years ago. It's hard to find a copy, I have tried multiple times, but I've heard from many who claim it did happen.

As co-host of the Steve & DC Show, on 95.3 The Bear, we discussed the finding this morning. YES, that's right the hornet was found in a home right here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. My partner, DC, is extremely allergic to hornets of any kind. I believe a name like "MURDER hornet" is enough to frighten those of us that aren't allergic! So far, to this columnists best research, no murder hornets have been found this far this deep in the South.

The case captivated the nation. It captivated all of us in the Deep South, like Alabama and Florida, due to reports of Laundries whereabouts. Most of them just rumors but the sad story seemed to hit everyone that followed the reports. Now, comes word from the FBI that Brian Laundrie "admitted" responsibility for Gabby Petito's death.

Plenty of people in Alabama, especially Tuscaloosa folks, seem to think so today. In 2020, Coach Saban was being interviewed by ESPN and seemingly declared that he would never get involved in political matters. It's 2022 and it appears he changed his mind.
