Steak N’ Shake….Are They Coming Here Or Not?

Here in Tuscaloosa, the corner of Skyland and 69 South is a hotbed of Restaurant Activity. So many places to eat, with more being built soon. The newest franchise at that corner is Captain D's. (However, with 3 total Captain D's now in the area, it SHOULD'VE been a Long John Silver's. We don't have ANY of those, and I prefer it over Captain D's....but that's ANOTHER blog at a different time). Sources have said that the next to arrive are Starbucks, (which you can see clearly being built), Whataburger, & a Golden Corral.

Another restaurant that was talked about arriving, is one of my Favorites, Steak N' Shake. However, now my "Greek Grapevine" sources are telling me that might not happen. Why?! We NEED a Steak N' Shake! The Burgers! (My favorite is The Patty Melt), The Fries! The Shakes! What's not to Love? But apparently, what was once talked about,  has now gone completely silent...and it's a SHAME.

Luckily for me, I have a "Plan B" when it comes to my craving for some Steak N' Shake food. I simply make the 45 minute drive from my house to Hoover, and eat at the one up there! (Like I did today, and it was GOOD, Damn Good!)

So, if anyone in a position of authority is reading this, PLEASE bring a Steak N' Shake to Tuscaloosa. Remember, If you build it, they will come.
