Severe Storms Possible in West Alabama Today and Thursday

Strong to severe storms are possible across Alabama this afternoon and then again on Thursday. 

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed much of West Alabama under a slight risk for storms this afternoon. Storms are possible from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and carry the threat of damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour and quarter size hail.
