UPDATE (4/11): Katy's officially apologized for her part in the kerfuffle — whatever that was — noting on Twitter:

ORIGINAL STORY (4/10): No fireworks here — Ryan Phillippe has broken his silence on a rumored relationship with Katy Perry and insisted (IN ALL CAPS, NO LESS) that Cupid's arrow has hardly struck.

According to Us Weeklyrumors began circulating that the two had begun a new relationship after "totally flirting" at Elton John's 70th birthday party in March. But looks can be deceiving, Phillippe has since pointed out on Twitter, where he blasted an overzealous press for trying to pump him for information that doesn't exist.

"I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE," he wrote, concluding his message with "thx."

Perry and Orlando Bloom officially split just before John's party last month. The breakup similarly invited a ton of attention, which Perry similarly shut down on Twitter.

“HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017?! U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all!” she wrote.

Phillippe and Paulina Slagter, on the other hand, broke up in November 2016 after five years together, according to Us Weekly. They were engaged.
