This past weekend, I stopped into the Walmart Neighborhood Market On Skyland to do a little grocery shopping. Now, this is not unusual, because I'm in there at least 3 times a day. But as I was walking into the store, I heard somebody,(in their best Louie Voice), yell out, "YEAH BABY!"  It was the guy ringing The Salvation Army Bell!  So, I went over to say to "Hi" to him, and introduce myself. His name was Jonathan Carr, and it turns out that he and his wife, Lisa, were long-time listeners of mine, and out there Ringing The Bell for The Salvation Army. I told Jonathan, "Let me go inside, grab a few things, and get some change, so I can drop something in the bucket". He said, "Sure".

Anyway, as I was inside shopping, I got to thinking about all the good that The Salvation Army does, all year round, especially during the Holiday Season, making The Holidays brighter by helping out those in need.. I also got to thinking about all the wonderful people, like Jonathan and Lisa, who take out their time to volunteer by being Salvation Army Bell Ringers. These folks are ALL truly special, and my hat's off to them for donating their time for such a worthy organization. The least WE can do, is donate a few bucks whenever we see someone ringing the bell for The Salvation Army.

Therefore, the next time you see A Salvation Army Volunteer ringing the bell for a donation, please contribute whatever you can. It really DOES help people out.

So, to those who volunteer their time to The Salvation Army, I say, "THANK YOU". And to Jonathan and Lisa Carr, it was an HONOR to meet You.
