Like most folks, I was glued to the tube last night, and stayed up well into the wee hours of the morning, to find out who our next President would be. After the announcement was made, I went to bed. (Because if you take one good look at me, Lord knows that I need my beauty sleep).

So, I got up this morning, turned on the TV, and saw the political pundits still debating the pros and cons of the new Presidency. I turned the TV off, and logged on to my Facebook Account. As soon, as I got on, I saw NOTHING but bashing from both sides of the political fence. Hey, I thought the election was over, however, there are still folks trying to sway votes from one side to the other. In any event, I decided I should give Facebook a rest for the day. Not that I don't care about politics, I do. In fact, I have voted in every Presidential Election since 1984. But right now, I'm BURNT. I'm just glad it's over...or is it?

What bothered me about all this wasn't about The Media coverage or discussion about this election. It's about the HATE that's still being spewed back and forth. We're all entitled to our opinions and we all have I right to vote, (I hope you exercised yours). But to ridicule someone because of differing beliefs, insult them because they don't think like you do, and threaten to never associate with them anymore, is just plain WRONG in my book. I have friends, family, and co-workers from all sides of the political aisle. But at the end of the day, regardless of who they voted for, I still LOVE & RESPECT them for who they are. Remember, we're all in this TOGETHER.

So, if your candidate won, try and be HUMBLE in victory. And if your candidate lost, try and be GRACIOUS in defeat.

In parting, I'll leave you with the words of one of my idols, Jerry Springer...."Til' Next Time Take Care Of Yourself, And Each Other".
