All the made up stories of what happened surrounding the murder of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, likely made it tough for jurors to believe anything Jodi Arias had to say while in court. The jury returned after days of deliberation with guilty a conviction of first-degree murder Wednesday in Phoenix, Arizona. The death penalty will be a possible outcome as the sentencing hearing begins Thursday.

Following the verdict announcement, Jodi Arias gave reaction to KSAZ-TV saying 'It was unexpected for me, yes, because there was no premeditation on my part.' She also commented on not wanting to stay in prison, rather to 'die sooner than later.'

Jodi Arias, caught in a web of lies, said the truth was coming out now while in court. Really? Through all the new claims of an abusive relationship and ultimate self-defense, prosecutor Juan Martinez found plenty of ways to expose potential holes in her story and call out more lies. This guy was great, he is basically the reason I began to pay closer attention to the case. It was incredible real-life drama with intense cross-examinations.

A perfect example of what I’m talking about is the below video clip. Watch as Jodi Arias is questioned about three gas cans in her car and whether this was to avoid a paper trail of gas receipts in Arizona. There appears to be a gotcha moment for Mr. Martinez in this series of questioning.
