Notre Dame Fan Jumps On Alabama Bandwagon? Not Quite, But Close!

You can't blame him for thinking it, but he was so wrong! I'm talking about my college roommate who is a big time Notre Dame fan. He along with too many preached how this great team from South Bend, IN is a team of destiny. Hmm, really.  Are you talking about the same ND team which almost lost to a mediocre Pitt? Yah, I thought so.

Through social media leading up to the SEC Championship, I thought Alabama's real test would be getting past Georgia as Notre Dame is a weaker opponent. Naturally, Dan the former college roommate went crazy with those thoughts. It didn't help I had witty cartoons to push his buttons too.

He fired back, if you are so confident the Tide will beat the Irish, let's make a bet. I was all in for that and asked, like what? He had a social media embarassment bet in mind, the loser has to buy the other team's hat, and wear in a Facebook profile picture. Then, the loose also has to congratulate the other team. A very daring bet, but I had no doubt Notre Dame hasn't played SEC level of talent all season like Alabama has. I took the bet!

Now, look who is lauging and saying, I told you so! Roll Tide!
