Cute and cuddly - perfect ingredients for the perfect pup! That's how you would describe Mickey a Corgi/Terrier mix dog who is our B101.7 Pet of the Week with the Humane Society of West Alabama!

This fine looking is a 2 year-old with thick coat featuring a reddish-brown with black. Mickey has a long body with short legs. He's a small dog, weighing only 15 pounds, and this is full-grown.

They tell me, Mickey was pulled from our local animal shelter, where he was found as a stray by Animal Control and nobody came down there to claim him. Poor little guy!

The Humane Society says Mickey is a great little dog; so sweet and so much fun! He loves attention and to be with you. He has a delightful personality and is very playful, curious and lovable.

They also tell me that Mickey should be fine in an apartment, as long as he gets daily walks; and he does pretty well on a leash. Mickey will require a fenced in yard if left outside any unattended. He should be fine with children ages 6 and older and seems to do well with other dogs, too.

They've started his crate training. Mickey is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

What more can we say about this dog but come and adopt him!? If you are interested in giving Mickey the forever home he wants and deserves, visit the Humane Society of West Alabama website (click here) or call them at (205) 554-0011.
