Hi, I'd like guacamole, egg, tortilla strips on my gourmet burger. Oh wait, add pineapple strips too. Thank you.

That sounds wild, but they're actual and available options for the new gourmet burger at McDonald's in Australia. It's a casual dinning class burger being made by a fast food restaurant. But, you don't just tell someone at the counter the toppings you want, there's actually a touch screen ordering station. Yeah, you browse through and pick what you do and don't want on the sandwhich. Plus, place an order for fries and a drink. At this ordering station, you also punch in where you're sitting, so the order will be delivered to you. When it comes out, it won't be served on a plastic tray. Nope, at this location, you get on wooden board, with fries served in a fancy metal wire container.

Would this work in the U.S.? If you're like me, the home of the "Happy Meal","Big Macs", and "Golden Arches" is a place for an inexpensive a quick meal. The simple burger and fries type place, with the fun play area for kids. That's the image I have, not this place for a lavish and custom gourmet burger. I can see it now, being served by a clown squeezing a bike horn in my face. Okay, all joking aside, the restaurant is smart to experiment with a concept that plays right into what our society has become. A customize anything and everything to what we want kind of society.

Watch the video below unveiling this concept in the land down under.
