Man Shot To Death In Holt

Authorities say that a man killed his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend during an argument at a residence in Holt over the weekend.

Christopher Deon Rhone, 29, was shot and killed in the driveway of a home on 41st Avenue Northeast. Rhone's death marks the seventh homicide in Tuscaloosa County this year according to Police Officials.

A woman told Police that she was on the porch when Rhone arrived at her home. An argument ensued, before Dominique Maurice Ball, 31, showed up at the residence. Ball and Rhone were then involved in an altercation, which subsequently ended with Ball fatally shooting Rhone.

Police Officials say that Ball was still at the house, when authorities arrived on the scene. He has been formally charged with murder, with bond set at $150,000. He is currently being held at The Tuscaloosa County Jail.
