Man Dead, Woman Missing After Falling Into Icy River for Dropped Phone

One man is dead, one woman is missing and presumed dead, while a third person is hospitalized as a result of all three falling into an icy river in Chicago to retrieve a phone.

The accident happened a little after midnight when a Minnesota man climbed over a fence to retrieve his dropped phone. He would end up slipping into the very cold and icy Chicago River water. His two friends attempted to help and would fall into the water as well. The Minnesota man is dead. The woman is missing and presumed dead. The other guy remains in the hospital in critical condition.

Incredibly sad story. Who would think three friends hanging out together would take such a horrific turn? To hear the story, it's easy to understand and even relate on how it all happened. The lost feeling of dropping your phone and attempting to get it back, but it turned out much worse.
