After a lot speculation, the halftime show attention is about to be owned by this just confirmed artist.

Sorry Coldplay, the attention for this year's halftime show has just made a major shift with the announcement of Beyonce will be there too! The news confirmed by ET actually comes with welcome arms from the guys of Coldplay, as they like the the idea of being joined by the high profile celebrity. It was just three years ago when Bey headlined the big game.

Hey, I really like Coldplay, but the halftime show needs to be a PARTY, because it's a PARTY watching it. With that in mind, I thought it was a bit odd of the NFL to pick them. Sure the league has been trying its best to play it safe after the whole nipple gate thing with Janet Jackson way back when. But, you still need energy and some kind of element of curiosity of what will happen. Katy Perry brought that. Beyonce could bring that.

There is still a rumor out there about Rihanna also joining the show. Do Beyonce and Rihanna like each other? That could be a fun battle of the divas to own the night. I don't Rihanna being the mix at this point. Someone else we could see is Bruno Mars. He has already been asked to "curate" this year's show, as reported by Billboard. Where the dots really do end up connecting here, Coldplay has a song with both Beyonce and Bruno Mars called, "Hymm for the Weekend." I totally see everyone on stage to perform it.

Another thing to keep in mind, it is the NFL's 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl, and they want to do it up with big with surprises to mark the special occasion. Beyonce could have just appeared to wow everyone, instead she has been announced. That moved makes one think the NFL felt a need for a spark to ignite what has been a lack of overall excitement for Coldplay to own the night.

Watch the Beyonce in action at the big game back in 2013.
