When I got the call to work here in Tuscaloosa, I was stoked and still am. But one thing I hate about this great town is the cost of living here. One week out before moving to the Druid City, I was still trying to find a place to live. I was freaking out because I was on a tight budget and it was mid-February which meant  it was past winter break and the likeliness of finding a good place cheap was no where in sight.

So I settled for living in a 350 Sq/Ft room closet, which seemed kinda cute at first. Then the idea became a freaking nightmare. 350 Sq/Ft is like living in a big kitchen. Your bed has the view on the shower, front door, the stove and that strange neighbor always walking by your apartment.

The reason why I'm telling you this is because, I'm a full-time employee barely surviving in a college town that is full of rich out of state kids with mommy and daddies credit card ready to-go. This town has to understand that it shouldn't revolve around students but around the store owners, professors, clerks and radio DJ's.

In such a small town in western Alabama, you would expect rent to be cheap and affordable. That's what I thought, but I was dead wrong.

Roll Tide.
