Update: Man Wanted For Rape in Tuscaloosa Taken Into Custody by Tuscaloosa VCU
The hunt for a man wanted for rape in Tuscaloosa is over after local authorities apprehended the suspect this weekend, according to a Sunday morning press release.
Captain Jack Kennedy with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit alerted local media that Emanuel Ineh was taken into custody and was transferred to the Tuscaloosa County Jail on one count of first-degree rape.
As previously reported, police investigated a sexual assault earlier this week and during the investigation, information was uncovered that there may be more than one victim. The investigations into the reported sexual assaults are ongoing.
Kennedy said anyone who believes they may be a victim of sexual assault by the suspect is encouraged to contact the VCU at 205-464-8690.
