Man Suffers “Serious” Injuries in Stabbing at Northport Apartments, Woman Arrested
A Tuscaloosa woman has been jailed after a Friday stabbing at a Northport apartment complex left a man seriously injured.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that officers were called to West Circle Apartments in Northport around 7 p.m. Friday.
A 69-year-old man had been stabbed and was suffering from injuries Kennedy called serious.
The VCU investigated, and determined 35-year-old Courtney Renee May was responsible for the stabbing - she was no longer on the scene, but investigators obtained a warrant for her arrest and she was taken into custody Monday morning.
May was charged with first-degree assault and placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where her bond has not yet been set.
