In 2020, there were 57,647 live births in Alabama. According to the March Of Dimes, Alabama's fertility rate in 2020 was 60.6 per 1,000 women ages 15-44 which was higher than the United States rate of 56.0.

Of all live births in Alabama during 2018-2020 (average), 8.4% were Hispanic, 57.9% were white, 31.2% were black, 0.3% were American Indian/Alaska Native and 1.7% were Asian/Pacific Islander.

Can You Sue Someone For Giving You HIV In Alabama?

The answer is, yes. You can absolutely sue someone for giving you HIV in Alabama but there are some stipulations.

In Alabama, intentional transmission of HIV is a criminal offense, and a person who knowingly or recklessly exposes someone else to HIV can be charged with assault.
