This time we find our favorite adventurer in India seeking out five powerful stones that are believed to have the power to rule the world. The film was another blockbuster making over 25 million on the opening weekend. It would be another five years before we would see Harrison Ford put on the brown fedora again.

The next installment of the series was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade released in 1989 starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. Indy and his father are on an adventure to recover the cup of Christ this time. The film made over 37 million on its opening weekend and 400 million worldwide.

It wouldn’t be until 2008 would we see Ford reprise the role in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. This film out of the franchise grossed over 700 million, making it the highest-grossing film so far from the series.

Now, 15 years one last adventure with our favorite archeologist. The film is set to open this weekend here in Tuscaloosa at CMX Hollywood 16 & IMAX. Tuscaloosa you have weekend plans at the movies.
