Special Program To Honor Veterans In Tuscaloosa On Saturday
A special program to honor our West Alabama Veterans is coming to Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday at 10 a.m.
This year one of the highlights will be guest speaker Marine Colonel Lee Busby who served with multiple infantry units, a Force Reconnaissance Company and commanded an Infantry Battalion among many other extraordinary accomplishments during his military career.
Col. Busby has also been awarded the Legion of Merit (3 awards), a Bronze Star (Iraq), the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous other personal and campaign awards.
Additional remarks will be made by LTC. John Merkle, U.S. Army, Retired and Director of the Tuscaloosa V.A. Medical Center as well as SGM David Blair, U.S. Army, Retired and Director of the University of Alabama Veteran and Military Affairs.
The event to honor men and women who have served our country is free of charge.
