Nessler made a point to ask Saban how this year's matchup against LSU compared to team rosters of the past.

"Four years ago, Coach, this game was unbelievable," said Nessler. "It was the Tua game, the Joe Burrow game. It was up and down the field, 1100 yards offense...would you say that even though it's a way different-looking offense, that this is as good as an offense that you've seen since then?"

"Yeah I think it is," said Saban. "It's very comparable to what they had then, very similar skillset."

Coach Saban broke down the elements that contributed to LSU's offense: "They had a first-round receiver. They had a second-round receiver. They had a really good receiving tight end, great quarterback, really good runner...all these guys playing in the NFL now and having outstanding careers." Nick Saban conceded, "This team they have right now is very similar to that."

Saban also commented on how LSU is using their quarterback, Jayden Daniels, at this point in the season. "They really are playing [Jayden] out in the apex more now, so he's not playing in the box like he was earlier in the year."

"He's kinda a hybrid, 6'1", 220-pound guy who's athletic almost like a defensive back, but really kind of a linebacker mentality," said Saban. "It's really hard to run at him because the guy blocking him is not a big guy, and that creates some problems for our guys."

Saban closed out the topic with a concerning thought, "You can't really run at him, cuz he's not always in the box." Fans will see how the team handles this tomorrow evening in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
