"Sweet home Alabama, so excited to start this new journey," wrote Johnson. "'Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.' Isaiah 25:1."

The Fairhope, Ala., native spent one season in Baton Rouge, finishing her freshman campaign with a 7-1 record and a 1.41 earned run average, recording 29 hits, ten runs (nine earned), and four home runs. She pitched 44.2 innings in 12 appearances, including seven starts.

Johnson is the second player Alabama has picked up from the portal, joining former Central Arkansas pitcher Kayla Beaver.
