Former Alabama WR Traded in NFL

The NFL offseason is in full swing, and a former Crimson Tide member is on the move.

Jerry Jeudy, originally drafted by the Denver Broncos, is being traded to the Cleveland Browns, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

According to Schefter, the draft picks traded for Jeudy will be 2024 fifth and sixth-round selections.

Jeudy has yet to record a 1,000-yard season in the NFL. His closest was 2022, when he recorded 972 yards and six touchdowns.

While at Alabama, Jeudy had 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was a consensus All-American in 2018 as well as the Belitnikoff winner.

He was then selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Now, Jeudy joins another Belitnikoff winner in Amari Cooper. Cooper was also a consensus All-American four years before Jeudy, as well as the 2014 SEC Offensive Player of the Year.

While in Cleveland, Cooper had 2,410 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns over two seasons with the Browns.

The Browns already had a strong presence of Crimson Tide players, with Cooper, left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., and defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson. Now, they add another player to the roster with championship experience. Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson should have a plethora of weapons at his disposal in Cleveland.
