Former Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. signed his rookie deal with the Houston Texans on Friday.

"The #Texans signed No. 3 overall pick Will Anderson Jr. to a fully guaranteed four-year, $35,212,818 million deal with a fifth-year option, per source," tweeted NFL Insider for NFL Network Tom Pelissero. "Anderson gets a $22,609,320 signing bonus as part of the deal, which was negotiated by Nicole Lynn of @KlutchSports."

The Ga., native played three seasons at the Capstone (2020-22), recording 205 total tackles (115 solo and 90 assisted), 62 tackles for loss for 272 yards, 34.5 sacks for 201 yards, five passes defended, one forced fumble, and one pick six.

Anderson was drafted as the No. 3 overall pick by the Houston Texans in the 2023 NFL Draft.

He joins former Alabama players Christian Harris, John Metchie III, and Henry To'oTo'o on the Texans roster.
