As of now, it appears both Jase McClellan and Elijah Pritchett will be able to play in the Rose Bowl.

Speaking at a Disneyland outing in Anaheim, CA, Alabama coaph Nick Saban said as much Wednesday.

“Jase is doing great,” Saban said at a media briefing. “He practiced yesterday and today. He looks good. We gave him a lot of time off to try to heal his foot, and it seems like it’s paid off.

“(Barring) some setback and the way he’s practiced, I don’t see why he couldn’t play in the [Michigan] game."

McClellan missed the SEC title game but for the 2023 season he  is Alabama’s leading rusher 803 yards and six touchdowns on 166 carries (4.84 ypc). He also leads Alabama's running backs with 13 catches for 126 yards.

Saban also addressed the status of recently arrested backup offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett.

“We’re handling his circumstances internally,” Saban said “That’s all I can really comment about. His status on the team has not been affected to this point.”

Translation: Despite the STD arrest, Pritchett is currently with the team and will be available vs. Michigan.

Alabama will practice again Thursday at Dignity Health Sports Park.
