Alabama Spectrum Users: ESPN’s Return Uncertain

Disney pulled ESPN from Spectrum subscribers last week, and the channel still isn't back.

As the Texas-Alabama game draws closer, many Spectrum Charter subscribers are scrambling to find new ways to watch the game.

Here's the list of sites that offer ESPN, according to this media website.

A conference call between Spectrum Charter and investors took place on Friday morning, but things aren't looking good. Charter's CFO told The Hollywood Reporter they're preparing for the ESPN blackout to be "permanent."

"We're on the edge of a precipice," CEO Chris Winfrey said. "We're either moving forward with a new collaborative video model, or we're moving on."

But Disney may have other plans. The ESPN chairman has said they plan to take the channel direct-to-consumer in the coming years, completely cutting out the middle man of a cable provider like Spectrum.

Until that gets decided...we're all just trying to watch the game.
