The Alabama Crimson Tide has skirted the devastation that some teams have faced due to the spring transfer portal window. However, several walk-ons have entered the portal.

Now, the Crimson Tide have suffered their first scholarship player lost to the transfer portal. According to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports, Alabama reserve defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry has entered the transfer portal.

The redshirt sophomore from Pike Road, Alabama was a top-55 recruit in the 2022 class.

The six-foot-two, 265-pound reserve lineman was the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Alabama in 2022. He did not record any stats during his time with the Crimson Tide and only appeared in one game.

Perry committed to Alabama on December 15, 2021, over Auburn and UCF.

Because of SEC transfer rules during the spring window, Perry will not be able to transfer to any SEC programs.
