Visitors to the 44th Annual Kentuck Festival of the Art were greeted with an outstanding variety of artist displays and live music, on a beautiful fall weekend in Northport, Alabama.

The location for this festival is so fitting, with Kentuck Park offering wooded grounds and open spaces.  The area feels rustic and organic, perfect for this celebration.

This signature fall event in West Alabama has a history of drawing crowds near and far, and the 2015 installment was no different.

Row after row of very intriguing art on display and for sale, with an opportunity to meet and speak with truly gifted and creative minds to come up with these ideas.  Even if you're not really a so-called "artsy" person, this high of level of creativity on display can be appreciated by anyone.

The day isn't just for mom and dad, the festival made sure to have arts and crafts activity areas for the kids to enjoy.

Plus, the day was full of performances from various local musicians and artists.  A great combo when taking a break, both performance stages offered a variety of food options.  I ended up going with the a flat bread sausage sandwich with mozzarella cheese, grilled peppers and caramelized onions.  Oh yeah, it was good.

While walking around, I snapped photos of various pieces which really caught my eye.  Also, a few shots from the main music stage, which I helped to emcee.

Here, take a look!  Also, feel free to drop a comment about the festival below.
