I-59 South Shut Down by Accident

Motorists on 1-59 Southbound should consider taking an alternate route, as an accident has the interstate shut down. One of our listeners forwarded this picture of a tractor trailer on fire.

According to Fox 6's Kelvin Reynolds, both North- and Southbound lanes are at a standstill.

UPDATE: ALDOT has issued a traffic advisory following this morning's accident.
