In this episode Ed Freeman of the Tuscaloosa Track Club joins me to discuss training for a half marathon.

The Tuscaloosa area enjoys a wide of races on just any weekend of the year. Most of those races are 5K or 3.1 miles in length. This area is also host a fairly new half marathon which is 13.1 miles in length.

When considering going out to compete on course which is 13.1 miles long, you would be wise to train for such a challenge. Fortunately for you, there is a program available in town to get you race day ready with other runners from the area.

The 2016 Tuscaloosa Half Marathon is March 5th.

Ed shares info on a training group which will get started in November. The idea is to take steps in length, week by week. Before you know it, you will be running 13 miles. Plus, with the training group, you will get to run the official Tuscaloosa Half Marathon race course, and pick the brains of experienced runners and coaches.

Half Marathon and 5K training registration is now open and will begin soon! CLICK HERE for the application or visit Wagners Run/Walk in Midtown Village.
