The novel Coronavirus has had an impact on almost every aspect of our daily lives for the past FOUR months. I don't know about y'all, but I am so tired.

I am tired of seeing my friends and family members get sick. I am tired of having every single event to which I have looked forward cancelled. I am OVER IT. I am exhausted, both mentally and physically--it's not easy working a full-time job while having your seven-year-old at your side because summer camp was cancelled due to a confirmed case of COVID-19.

I've had to self-isolate after a friend tested positive a few weeks ago. It sucked, and I never want to have to do it again, but if some of y'all don't act right...

We're going to be stuck with this crap for the foreseeable future.

What is SO HARD about wearing a face covering? Honestly, a minor inconvenience is not the same as being oppressed. If doctors and nurses on the front line of this pandemic can wear a mask for a 12-hour shift, you can slap on a mask before you go to Wal-Mart.

I'm sick of people politicizing this issue. It's not about red v. blue; it's about life v. death. Who do you want to win that battle?

Yell at me all you want, but I am not going to change my mind. If evidence-based science and medical doctors say wearing a face mask can bring this thing to an end, why would you not do it? Is your "freedom" worth exposing someone else to what could literally be a harbinger of death?

I don't know how to make you care about other people.

Do you not want football this fall? Do you not want a return to normal life? Is the only person about whom you care is YOU?

Just wear the mask.
