"Call Me Maybe." No matter what you did this year, you could not escape the force of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit single. It was a viral video sensation and a Billboard chart topper. This should make Carly a lock for a Grammy nomination for 'Best New Artist' right? Wrong. This year's 'Best New Artist' field includes the Alabama Shakes, fun., Hunter Hayes, Frank Ocean and The Lumineers, but no Carly Rae Jepsen. According to Nielsen SoundScan, "Call Me Maybe" sold 6.1 million downloads and is the second biggest selling digital song of 2012.
