The taproom of Birmingham's Good People Brewing Company is closed until further notice. A Good People employee recently tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, and management made the difficult decision to close the taproom and pause to-go service until all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the health and safety of customers and employees.

The announcement, made in the Facebook post below, noted the employee who tested positive for COVID-19 last worked Thursday, June 18th and is now self-isolating at home.

The Alabama Department of Public Health has now confirmed 32,753 cases of the novel Coronavirus within the state. 18,866 of those cases are listed as "recovered" by the ADPH, and the health agency has now confirmed 880 deaths as a result of COVID-19 in our state.

1,739 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Tuscaloosa County.
