There I was, driving north up Greensboro Avenue, headed to lunch this afternoon. I was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Greensboro and James Harrison Parkway.

As I looked to the right, I noticed THIS food truck, called "BAMA FLAVA",  parked in Dave's Crimson Bar parking lot.

My curiosity was piqued.

I started wondering if the food was any good. Then I said to myself, "Instead of eating at the same place that I always do, let me give this Food Truck a shot". So, I hung a right, and headed over there.

As soon as I pulled in to the lot, I asked the gentleman working the truck, "Hey, what do guys you have here at BAMA FLAVA?". He said, "Look at the menu, and see for yourself, Brother". He then handed me THIS menu....

As I looked it over, my mouth started WATERING. I read the items out loud one by one, "Pull Pork Sandwich...Rib Sandwich...Half Slab Ribs...Full Slab Ribs...Chicken.....Macaroni & Cheese...Bake Beans...and, THE JUNKYARD DOG!"  As soon as I saw THE JUNKYARD DOG, I KNEW I had to have it! I mean, the last time I heard the words "JUNKYARD DOG", was when I used to watch THIS man wrestle in the old WWF...

However, this was not THAT "Junkyard Dog". This was a "Polish Dog With Ground Beef Onions, & Bell Peppers!". I ordered it, got it in a few minutes, and SUNK my teeth into that bad boy! And let me tell you, THAT was one of the BEST Polish Dogs that I've ever tasted! I told the gentleman that I WOULD be back, and he gave me a High-Five.

Therefore, the next time, you spot a Food Truck on the side of the road, (especially one with the words "Bama Flava" on the side of it). Give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. I know I was.

The Verdict: Big Noodle Lou gives Bama Flava a Major THUMBS UP!
