Flood Advisory in Effect Until 12:15 AM Monday, April 13th
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for a large part of our listening area.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Northwestern Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama... Pickens County in west central Alabama... Southern Fayette County in west central Alabama... Southern Lamar County in west central Alabama... * Until 1215 AM CDT. * At 620 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen, with additional heavy rainfall possible the next few hours. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayette, Aliceville, Gordo, Reform, Millport, Carrollton, Pickensville, Berry, Kennedy, Belk, Ethelsville, McMullen, Bankston, Samantha, Johnston Lake, Lake Lurleen State Park, Bevill Lock And Dam, Garden, Ashcraft Corner and Boley Springs. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
