Family Gives Away Teens Belongings After His Range Rover Joy Ride

I came across this story of a teenager who went on a joy ride in his family's range rover. After the joy ride, his family decided to put their foot down and emptied his room. They gave away all of his stuff!

According to Fox 10, 14-year-old Angel Martinez stole his family's Range Rover while there were on vacation and took it on a joy ride. I'd first off like to say I'm jealous that a teenager got to drive a Range over before I could. Lol! I'm seriously glad he nor anyone else was hurt while he was out joyriding because it could've ended up very badly. Angel spoke on the incident showing what seemed to be no remorse saying "I just wanted to drive but I don’t have a license so I just took it."

I know my son is only 5 months old, but if he ever grows up to do something this serious and acts like it's not a big deal, I'd lose it! Angel's parents fit my parenting style. His punishment wasn't being grounded, he didn't get a spanking, instead, they hit him where he'd feel it. His parents gave away all of his stuff. His room has been completely emptied and they gave away everything he had. I like that! Maybe next time that Angel thinks he's going to do something with little to no consequence, he'll remember the time his parents gave everything away.

Angel is mature for his age. When asked about the punishment he said, "It’s kind of weird, but I think it’s a fair punishment." Kudos to Angel for handling his punishment well, and major props to his parents for their witty punishment. I'm taking notes that I hopefully will never use when my son grows up.
