Extreme Cheapskates, Are You For Real?

Here’s another example of a reality show which will make you feel better about yourself, ‘Extreme Cheapskates.’  This TLC program lives up to the name in a teaser promo with a guy so cheap that he won’t buy any furniture.  It’s one thing if he lived alone, but he has a wife and two kids who have to live this way.  But, the family clearly is not bothered.  The promo shows them all joking about how cheap dad really is.

I wonder what the family will do with the money they earn from being featured on the show.  Maybe, the joke is on us?  I mean, who is really so cheap that they use broken folding chairs for living room furniture?  If the guy was so cheap, wouldn’t he have an old fashioned tube television instead of a flat screen?  Also, it looks like there is a cable connection. Wait, that looks like a DIRECTV remote.  Wouldn’t the true extreme cheapskate have an antenna for free TV instead?   

Will I watch?  Yah, I’m curious to see more.  See the promo clip below and you may feel the same way.
