Celebrate the 4th of July With These Rad Recipes
Independence Day is Thursday: are you ready for the backyard barbeques and 4th of July celebrations? If you're wondering what to bring to the party, check out these great patriotic recipes.

4th of July Chocolate Covered Strawberries
What a cute way to use fresh summer fruit! These strawberries are coated in white chocolate and then rolled in blue sugar sprinkles. Get the kids to join the fun and help make this dessert.

Patriotic Party Jello Snacks
Everybody, it seems, has some version of the old 1-2-3 jello for the 4th. I like these because they're unique AND an ingenious way to get rid of the 578,242,345,340 baby jars you have around the house which, if you're like me, is welcomed with open arms. Bonus points for the little flags, too.

Patriotic Mini Star Cakes
This dessert requires serious effort, but it's worth it when you really want to up your game and show everyone at your BBQ OUT. Your sister-in-law or cousin may have won everyone over last year with her pound cake and blueberries on a stick, but that's not happening now. This is YOUR year. You make that cake, girl. *Internet High-Fives!*

Celebration Pretzel Sticks
These pretzel sticks would be a welcome addition to any Independence Day hootennany. (What; I'm trying to make hootenanny happen.) On the 1-10 difficulty scale, these are probably a 4. Easy to make; great results. Unless, of course, you try to make these with the help of a small child. Then it's a 25 on the difficulty scale. You may have a nervous breakdown when your toddler drenches your kitchen in sprinkles and burns her hand in melted chocolate, but YOU MADE A MEMORY. And pretzel sticks.

Firecracker Cake
This Firecracker Cake comes from the hallowed halls of the Betty Crocker Test Kitchens. Betty Crocker would never steer you wrong, ladies. I'm getting hungry AND feeling patriotic just LOOKING at this cake. I can wait to shove my face full of it while someone plays "I'm Proud to Be an American" at full volume: Bon Appetit! No. Wait. That's French... I'll just close this with a big ROLL TIDE.
