Today, I woke up with extra skip in my step with eager anticipation of my dentist visit! I found my whistling on my car ride and hugging my co-workers with intense love on this exciting day.

Reality check. I was slow to get up and dreaded the dentist appointment ahead of me. I could instantly hear at least 10 high pitched dental drills in my head. How comforting. Yes, today there would be hard core filling work done on my chompers.

Now, you're probably saying get a grip, that's why there is gas! Sure, that is true. The gas can help make the drilling less painful. But, it sure can impair your speech. You may think you are making sense, when you're not. Just listen to this audio and see if you can understand what I'm saying.

Well, what am I saying? Any clue? Comment below.

I need to confess, that audio clip is fabricated. Yes, made up, here in the studio this afternoon. Honestly, I was asked if I wanted gas before the procedure and I declined with this great fear of not being to speak on the air today. This morning, I told the dentist that I didn't want to sound like a drunk sailor on the radio.

Fast forward to this afternoon, and I really thought about coming on the air with this entirely fake act of still being drugged up on laughing gas and talking insanity. Funny, right? Well, instead I made the clip above.

To give you an idea of the type of voice I was thinking about for my 'gas' air shift, watch Will Ferrell as Harry Caray. I do have another filling that needs work in the near future...
